Holt Sunday Market in Full Flow

Market Days for Your Diary

One of the reasons we decided to launch Norfolk Doggy Deli was our love of dogs. We are those people who befriend dogs everywhere we go and only know people in our village by their dog’s name so we knew that attending markets and events would be paramount.

We spent a lot of time writing wish lists of stockists, events and farmers markets. Low and behold, the stars aligned and now we are attending a host of these fantastic places!

Multi award-winning

Creake Abbey Farmers' Market

One such market was Creake Abbey Farmers’ Market. Held at the wonderful Creake Abbey on the first Saturday of every (excluding January), this award-winning farmers’ market is jam packed full of the very best bakers, makers and producers. You’ll find some of the finest food produced in Norfolk.

The farmers’ market has been carefully orchestrated with over 50 specially selected stalls ensuring all of your culinary needs are met as well as truly reflecting the seasons. Open 9.30am until 1pm this market is one not to miss.

Do visit Creake Abbey for more information.

A lock down success

Holt Sunday Market

Another market we had at the top was Holt Sunday Market. One of few silver linings to come from Lockdown 2020 was this wonderful street market which takes place in the heart of this lovely historic Georgian market town on the first Sunday of every month from April to December.

Beautifully curated, this market is forever evolving as each month is never the same due to its popularity with exhibitors; the perfect reason to visit every month. We have been fortunate to attend every month during 2022 and hope to attend all of 2023.

Keep up to date with the makers and creators attending each market by visiting the Holt Sunday Market website.

A new gem

A brand-new farmers market and one to watch is Black Barn Farm in Salhouse. This cracking market only started in March 2021 and already boasts many of Norfolk’s best producers as regulars with lots more clearing their diaries to make room. The market takes place in a purpose-built barn which will in time also include a farm shop, café as well as units available for local businesses to hire. The farm also boasts a newly planted apple orchard as well as a campsite; it is so well positioned by the Norfolk Broads and is just full of potential. Get the dates in your diary, second Saturday of every month 10am -1pm.
