Norfolk - The Ultimate Dog-friendly Staycation

We are super spoilt to not only live and work in Norfolk but to have a dog here too. Norfolk has to be the most dog-friendly county in England, by a mile! We have miles of award-winning sandy beaches, coastal walks, ancient woodlands and historic paths that have shaped our county for centuries. Just imagine having public footpaths that open up to endless miles of countryside, taking you through some of our most picture postcard attractions and scenery, on your doorstep.

Norwich is the only city in Norfolk and it’s exactly as it says on the sign - ‘A fine city’. Steeped in history dating back to Norman times, there is so much to visit when you come to Norwich and most important is how dog friendly it is. Even our oldest family run department store Jarrold is dog friendly and an extra special bonus is that you can find our biscuits in their Deli & Food Hall.

Seek refuge and enjoy Norwich Cathedral and the lovely walk which takes you through Cathedral close and along the riverbank to St Pauls Ferry.

When you’ve exhausted all the city centre has to offer, head off to one of our many pubs for some locally brewed ale and beer – there’s the colourful Norwich Playhouse Bar set along the riverbank and Redwell Brewery which is the perfect stop after a walk around Whitlingham Broad.
