Norfolk Doggy Deli: Our Favourite Dog-Friendly Farmers’ Markets in Norfolk
One of the main reasons we launched Norfolk Doggy Deli was our love of dogs. We’re those people who befriend every dog we meet, and in our village, we only know people by their dog’s name! Attending dog-friendly markets and events in Norfolk was always a priority for us.
We spent hours curating wish lists of stockists, events, and Norfolk farmers’ markets, and over time, we’ve been lucky enough to attend many of these fantastic local events. Here are some of our favourites.
Creake Abbey Farmers' Market – Multi Award-Winning Norfolk Market

One of the highlights on our list is Creake Abbey Farmers’ Market. Held on the first Saturday of every month (except January) at the stunning Creake Abbey, this award-winning Norfolk farmers’ market is packed with the very best bakers, makers, and local producers.
With over 50 carefully selected stalls, the market truly reflects the seasons and offers the finest Norfolk food. Open from 9:30am to 1pm, it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking local, artisan produce.

Holt Sunday Market – A Lockdown Success

Another gem is Holt Sunday Market, which was one of the few silver linings of Lockdown 2020. This vibrant street market takes place in the heart of Holt, a historic Georgian market town, on the first Sunday of every month from April to December.
Beautifully curated and ever-evolving, the market is a hub for local makers and producers, making each visit unique. We’ve been lucky enough to attend every month in 2022 and hope to continue through 2023.
Keep up to date with exhibitors and monthly updates on the Holt Sunday Market website.
Black Barn Farmers' Market, Salhouse – A New Norfolk Favourite
A brand-new addition to the Norfolk market scene is Black Barn Farmers' Market in Salhouse. Launched in March 2021, this market is already attracting many of Norfolk’s best producers. Held in a purpose-built barn near the Norfolk Broads, it promises a future farm shop, café, and units for local businesses.
The market takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 10am to 1pm. With a newly planted apple orchard and a campsite on site, Black Barn Farm is set to become a standout dog-friendly farmers’ market in Norfolk.
Attending these dog-friendly Norfolk markets has been a highlight for Norfolk Doggy Deli. Not only do we get to meet fellow dog lovers, but we also discover incredible local produce and connect with the community. Whether you’re looking for artisan food, handmade goods, or a dog-friendly day out, these Norfolk markets are not to be missed.
